Trip Overview
This 4-day Amarnath Yatra helicopter package from Baltal offers a seamless way to visit one of India's most sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites — with the hard climbing removed and the best of Kashmir added around it. Arrive in Srinagar, where our representative receives you and drives you up the scenic mountain highway to Sonmarg (about 80 km) for an overnight stay close to the Baltal helipad. Next morning, board your helicopter from Baltal to Panjtarni and cover the final 6 km to the holy cave on foot, by palki or on horseback. Pay obeisance to Lord Shiva in the form of the naturally formed ice Shivling, watch for the legendary pair of pigeons considered auspicious by devotees, and fly back to Baltal the same day. Day three belongs to Srinagar — the Mughal Gardens of Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh with an optional shikara ride on Dal Lake — before your airport drop on day four. Hotels, breakfast and dinner, Baltal–Panjtarni helicopter tickets and private transfers are included. Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar – Transfer to Sonmarg (80 km / ~1 hr 30 min)
Arrive in Srinagar and receive a warm welcome from our tour representative. Proceed on a guided transfer to Sonmarg, admiring scenic Himalayan roadways en route. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Baltal Helipad – Amarnath Cave Darshan – Sonmarg
Board the helicopter from Baltal to Panjtarni. Complete the last 6 km to the Amarnath Cave on foot, by Palki or horseback. Pay obeisance to Lord Shiva in the form of the holy ice lingam. Look out for the legendary immortal pigeons — considered auspicious. Return to Panjtarni and board the helicopter back to Baltal. Transfer to hotel in Sonmarg.
Srinagar Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to Srinagar. Visit the beautiful Mughal Gardens — Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. End the day with a relaxing Shikara ride on Dal Lake (at your own cost).
Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Srinagar airport for your onward journey.
